Monitoring Team Lead

Job Scope
As a Monitoring Team Lead you are part of the infrastructure team, with the main focus of having ownership over the setup and proper operation of a well defined monitoring system. The challenge behind this role is to build the monitoring system, to set up your own monitoring and support team. You will be in charge of selecting the tools and systems and also closely collaborate with DevOps team members.
Main Responsibilities
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team with other professionals such as Front-End, Back-End Developers and UI /UX Designers, Product owners;
- Select, deploy, setup and maintain robust, automated, highly-available and scalable monitoring solutions
- Help hire, train and lead a 24/7 monitoring team of 6 people
- Proactively monitor system performance
- You have chance to get your hands into DevOps and assist the team in various tasks
- Technically support software components
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with variety of Linux/Unix monitoring tools (at least 5+ years)
- Advanced knowledge of Linux (RedHat) based operating systems and bash scripting
- Understanding SystemD
- Understanding firewalls and routing
- Knowledge of Nginx and/or load balancing solutions
- Basic administration of databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL etc.
- Understanding of the PKI and SSL Certificates
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and give accurate time estimates
- Very good English language skills
- Be able to work on your own initiative and be flexible and focused.
- Ability to communicate clearly and be part of a team of professionals
